You are not alone in this.

Michael Fowler has lived through addiction and relapse himself, and spent 20 years inside the treatment industry. He helps Dallas families find the next right step for a son who's struggling — today, not someday.

Michael answers personally — no call center, no judgment. If he can't pick up, he calls back as soon as he's free.

For Parents & Families

Is your family struggling?

You already know the signs. You've probably been living with them for a while.

  • Promises that don't hold, again and again.
  • Money that disappears, and questions that don't get honest answers.
  • Nights you don't sleep because you don't know where he is.
  • A "failure to launch" that feels like more than just a slow start.
  • The quiet fear that you're the only ones who see it.

You're not overreacting. And this is discreet.

Discretion comes first. Many families Michael works with can't risk being recognized in a public meeting — so he comes to you, quietly. What you share stays with Michael.

  • One point of contact for the whole family — not five different case workers.
  • Coaching for parents on boundaries and detachment, not just the client.
  • Private pay keeps this personal, flexible, and completely discreet — one point of contact, one invoice.

About Michael Fowler

He's been where your son is.

Michael was a nationally ranked junior tennis player before he ever touched a drink. He was sixteen the first time he tried drugs and alcohol — "within a week I was off and running." What followed was years battling addiction, cocaine to heroin, and a stretch of homelessness, in the years before fentanyl made that road so much more dangerous.

"If fentanyl had been around, there's a good shot I wouldn't be here."

He got sober — ten years, in fact — then relapsed. So he knows relapse from the inside, not from a textbook. He's been rebuilding since, and today he's about five years sober, with his own gambling recovery running alongside it.

Michael has worked inside the treatment industry since 2005: a behavioral health tech, then admissions, then business development, then leadership. "The further I got from the guys, the less connection I felt," he says. YANA Recovery Services is his way back to the work that actually matters — sitting with a family at their kitchen table, not behind a desk.

He also served in the recovery ministry at Highland Park United Methodist Church, one of the largest Methodist churches in the country, on SMU's campus, and works in partnership with Campbell Recovery Services.

What Recovery Gives Back

Not just sobriety. Family, back.

Recovery isn't only about what stops. It's about the dinners that happen again, the calls that come easy, the trust that gets rebuilt one honest day at a time.
